How to sum numbers in one cell but the numbers are in two lines (using alt+enter)? the excel recognizes the numbers as texts instead of numbers and can't sum only one single cell.

I am looking for a formula, example, if Colunm B Contains the text "GRAPE SODA CASE " return value of $500 on cell N2,
Columns C contains "Fruit Soda" return value of $250 and I wanted to sum them on cell N2

Thank you! I would like a deeper understanding of this function so that I may apply it to other scenarios. My understanding is that the asterisk will tell Excel to look at "one or more characters" within the specified criteria, and that the & symbol is a shortcut for CONCATENATE. Can you explain what the & is doing and why it is relevant in this example?
