How to sum numbers in one cell but the numbers are in two lines (using alt+enter)? the excel recognizes the numbers as texts instead of numbers and can't sum only one single cell.

My understanding is that the asterisk will tell Excel to look at "one or more characters" within the specified criteria, and that the & symbol is a shortcut for CONCATENATE.
