Knowing Vienna well I find the hints very good and informative. Things. But there is one little information missing. The reason not to use the City Airport Train (CAT) is that the public transport line S7 (Schnellbahn = Fast Train) runs in parallel at much, much lower cost and takes just a short time longer by stopping at more quite convenient stations.

Being Viennese I can tell you: Sascha is right, you can believe everything he is telling about. Especially you want to save money and do not want to step into tourist-traps.

Heya! Your videos are the best. It’s SO HARD to find videos that are straight to the point without the annoying “HI GUUUUYS” in the beginning, honestly this is a relief 😂 Thank you for all the great tips, and please keep the great videos coming!

As a Czech who spent in Vienna several months I'd add that the tourist shouldn't stay only in the city center. For example Wienerwald is so acessible by public transport and I was supprised by the nature and views there.

Vienna has a special place in my heart because it was my honeymoon destination. My husband and I absolutely fell in love with this beautiful city the moment we landed. Please continue adding more content because we love seeing this wonderful city through your channel.

As someone with some familiarity with Vienna, I must say this is a very good video, with accurate tips and a great delivery style.

As an Austrian living in Vienna I absolutely agree to all the facts mentioned, expecially to Cat, water, Torte at a price around 6 Euro per piece...

I would go so far as to say "Don´t miss out on the tap water!". I´m from Sweden and have lived eight years in Vienna now. I have been spoiled with good quality, drinkable tap water my whole life - but I rank Viennas tap water as one of the best I have ever tasted (yes, water tastes different depending on where it comes from).

Viennas tap water is safe, most often free, tastes great and is very refreshing! :) If you want an alternative, drink one of Austrias nice beers or a Radler.

Loved this video so much! I used to live in Vienna back in 2007.... I live in the US now and find myself trying to pass on the left side of the escalator but people choose to stand still, so annoying!

Vienna is always in my heart

Have lived in Vienna for several years. I am non-Austrian and can relate to all things mentioned. And Naschmarkt I personally hate, because it’s a market where you always have to struggle for a better price. Spar is my love. Especially their Radatz Kaseleberkasesemmel

In my experience going to Vienna, you can just get on the S7 to Praterstern from the airport for the price of a normal single ticket. 2.30 or something thereabouts. One of my favourite things about Vienna is how cheap transport is compared to the UK.

My aunt went there years ago and we were surprise why she travelled there in the first place. Now i know why. Vienna is amazing❤

The SIGH if tourists do something wrong is so on point.

I think the world misunderstands the "unfriendliness" of Viennese people. Viennese people are very honest with their reactions and mimic. They don't give a shit when they have a bad day - they will let you know they have. But generally, Viennese are friendly and helpful.

It's a shame for Vienna that we still couldn't get rid of the Euromat ATMs. Sorry to all tourists!

Many thanks! I saw many similarities between Vienna and NYC, especially the public escalator manner. Look forward to my family trip to Vienna during the week of 4/9/23.

As a local I can approve of most of the tips. It's just the Sachertorte where I strongly disagree. There is no better one. The icing (Glasur) is unbeatable and I can especially recommend the Sacherwürfel (Sacher cubes)

One more thing: Do not ride transit without a valid ticket. There are no fare barriers and bus and tram drivers to not check when you board, and most people just walk on, but that is because they already have a valid ticket. There are random fare inspections, and getting caught without a valid ticket will cost you €105, which they will want in cash immediately. And no, the excuse of “I am not from here, I didn’t know I needed a ticket” will not go very far
