I remember the pressure cooker story, it was basically a family that used the same computer the wife was looking to replace the pressure cooker, the husband had I think watched a show or something and googled bombs and the son needed a new backpack so he was looking up some to buy and Google flagged those three searches and homeland security paid them a visit

Irwin was the only person on record to be killed by a stingray, seems to be the least dangerous of the animals he dealt with, and rays are normally passive. Lesson to be learned: don’t spook wild animals. Also those poor rays getting mutilated :( that’s awful

That "ring avulsion" made me think, I remember watching some video about injuries in sports, and there was one injury that was tragi-comical...One footballer (a soccer player for Americans) was so happy that he went to the spiked fence between the playground and spectators, a fence made of metal, and somehow the ring he had on his left hand was stuck on one of the relatively thin poles, he shouted something to his fans and when he jumped back, the portion of his finger (with that ring attached) left on that fence...he was so excited that he wasn't aware that more than half of his finger was gone... I don't know what happened after, I hope that he was carried to the hospital and they attached his finger back, that is if some fan didn't take it as a precious souvenir...

The Grizzley Man movie tells you what scared the bear without telling you. The helicopter pilot said that he could look down and see the bear killing them. To me it sounds like the sound of the helicopter scared the bear and it attacked them. Timothy and his girlfriend were in the area during a time of year that they are usually gone so there were different bears than he was used to. You can tell from the footage that his girlfriend was nervous which I'm sure didn't help.

#10 - I did that to my finger once. my ring got my finger stuck in a gate ( at a large animal clinic). Before I could get hand off the gate a large bull hit the gate, I almost lost my finger. After I pushed the skin back through the ring I could get the ring off before it swelled.
