My basil plants started blooming, do I just cut the flowers off?

Sorry Farmer Dean, the wording was in the way of your cutting. Are you making the cut right above a 2 leaf stem? I just cut. I didn’t know there was a better place to cut. I LOVE my basil! It smells soooo good!! 🍃🍃🍃 Basil is probably my favorite crop. 😊😉

I picked the leaves so it can grow more and I also cut the stems and snip the flowers so it can grow bushy and to keep it from growing taller 😁

This is the missing piece! I've tried growing basil, but harvesting all the leaves left nothing but a single night's pesto and a summer of regret.
