In this video I show you how to prune, harvest and store your basil. I was quite surprised actually the basil lasted 10 days in a glass of water at room temperature and was still usable. I have put it in the refrigerator before, but it often turns black and isn't usable. A glass or vase of water is all you need! Of course basil loves to grow in full sun with well drained soil. I grow mine in containers and in the ground. Growing Wisdom garden videos will help you with all your gardening and landscaping needs. My window sill potted basil does not look like that. The leaves are very large, no drying "crispy" leaves, but it looks droopy. Not enough sun? I let the top soil dry just on the top, but never underneath.
The top 1” or so stays moist. No water accumulation in the base of the pot.
I doubt it's root bound, it just has 4 stalks about 10”-11" tall.
Not sure why it looks like this.
