"I believe that in 1978 God changed his mind about black people!"

Honestly, 'The oath of Vengeance' is a great name for a metal band.

I'm sorry, they did what now???? And why do non-Mormons only focus on the polygamy thing, when there is a cornucopia of insanity to choose from. 😂

"we believe in a perfect, unchanging God.. which also changes his views at the same time as public opinion does'

fun fact: the first black guy to hold the priesthood is absolutely GODLY at piano. i met him when i was 9, living in west valley and at a church event, i didnt know who he was but i was in a room with my sister and we were playing on the piano. he asked us if he could quickly whip up something 'simple' on the piano, and he absolutely blew us away. hes a total piano show off and i love him for that. great guy

When I was still in, I remember mentioning to my mom in 2016 how it was cool that there were no changes since I saw videos that were obviously from the 70s or 80s. She had an odd look on her face.

It didn't occur to me that they could have been edited to be in line with the new program. She went through in the 70s so she would definitely remember the changes. I wonder if my innocent statement made her reflect at all...

It's so weird how nowadays you can't show too much of your skin like, ever, but there used to be a ceremony where you had to be fully naked.. It just has to be one or the other. Never anything in between 🤔

I left the church shortly after my 18th birthday, so I didn't learn about the temple rituals. The more I learned, the more glad I am to be excommunicated!

Why did i have to veil in the first place. Is my face unholy? Too feminine and therefor bad.

I'm sorry, 'no more touching of intimate areas'? What intimate areas were touched before? By whom? For what purpose? Pls explain 🙏

I was edgy and punk a few years ago, very angry for being forced into Mormonism so I got wine, had a friend drive up, and got a pic of me drinking wine and spitting it on temple grounds.

Am I sorry? No! They hated me and abused me! Do I feel kinda guilty sometimes? Yes! Should that be a celebration (tea works too if you're sober!!) for when you get your name removed from temple records

"Oath of Vengeance" should have been left in. It sounds pretty metal 🤘

Ex mormon here (been out for 15 years). I didn't retain a memory that black people couldn't marry in the temple. Yikes. I remember hearing that they couldn't get the priesthood. That is so hurtful. I'm just speachless. Thank you for telling us. I think it is important to know.

Yes, because avenging a death from the 1840s most certainly sounds like an "eternal" sacred practice. I wonder if eliminating it had anything to do with the fact that EVERYONE INVOLVED HAD ALREADY DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES.

Posted this video on a comment where people kept saying how Mormons were nice and it's not a cult. Hopefully they will see what I'm talking about

As a Christian, it baffles and saddens me to see a group of people so deceived and my heart goes out to them. It is not from God if rituals are touching genitals, vowing to commit suicide or secret ritualistic things that only some people can partake in. This religion is a works based religion where you have to be almost perfect to get a temple recommend and keep your salvation.

The bible explains how easy it is to be a Christian. We don't have to be perfect to come to God, because Jesus already is and was perfect. He is the sacrificial lamb. We believe in Him for our salvation and by putting our faith in Him, we become a new creation and the Holy Spirit starts to transform us.

I pray for all to come to know the true Jesus and biblical truths. In Jesus' name. ✝️
