FOcus on progressive overload...compound multi joint movements, bench press, squat, deadlift (involves more than one muscle, not isolation)

Train around the injury if possible...do what you can without getting hurt and furthering the injury...check with your doctor

Have to agree with you totally on this Matty. Spent years doing stupid isolation stuff and got not where. Now concentrate on squat, bench, barbell row, overhead press (barbell) and deadlifts with pull up, chin up and weighted dips on the days in between. See loads of gains since sticking to this. Great vid, keep them coming

I've been bulked haha, I just maintain or lean bulk so I don't put on much fat...right now just hanging out comfortably at this weight but still seeing increases in stregnth

OMG this is so true and everybody is doing exercises yet every big guy you see does 1-3 exercises for each muscle and focused on them to become stronger!!!

Can't agree more. Just master the 3 main lifts and increase your strength on them everything else will fall into place.

I like the compound movements. The first weight set I owned were a barbell and a bench with different pin settings. Bench press, shoulder press, squats, and rows were my go to exercises. I don't do deadlifts that much...my weight set goes up to 300 lbs only at home... so squats and deadlifts are reserved for gym days mostly... and if I have a spotter, bench at the gym also.

Do whatcha like, but IMO if yer gonna do like that, put a compound movement in every workout as a primary focus to keep maximum muscle growth stimulation goin throughout the week!
