As a completely flat footed person this might be the best video of yours I’ve watched. Seems silly but never thought to try bands that way to help my squat technique

This makes me really happy! (Not about having flat feet I mean) but I was born with absolutely no arch and it’s always prevented me from doing a lot of sports and hikes and running stuff and it gives me a lot of knee pain too, but I’ve never seen anyone who has feet like mine so seeing all these comments about other people with fallen arches encourages me to know that other people know how it feels!

The short foot exercise (+its later variations) and walking barefeet with your toes spread will do a miracle to most people with flat feet. You need to take your time btw, starting to correct your feet as an adult can take up to 5-6 years.

A thing that helps me is running barefoot on the treadmill. It strengthens your feet and basically forces you to run with correct form, and has totally helped my arches

Fastest man on Earth Usain Bolt is super flat footed, so don't feel bad about being flat footed, this is a cue just like any other cue before many lifts, by engaging this way before each lift you'll create the habit and eventually forget you're even doing it...but this cue will help keep everything stacked evenly and you'll be lifting properly henceforth.

It's so hard living with the pain of flat feet. I always thought it was a hip problem because my father had hip issues as a baby and noticed his flat feet when he was a teen. I had to have surgery, then three more! Only pain relief was after the plates and hardware were removed and I had my cuboid navicular and cuneiform bones fused together. Even now I still have pain. Pretty sure it hurt me more to have the surgeries but oh well. It's been hard trying to correct my gait but you can do it if you focus while walking and running. It's just very hard to retrain your entire body. Your flat feet don't just effect your feet. Its a whole body issue

After watching your videos like this one I have been able to squad pretty much pain free! I’ve been utilizing the banded squat as a warmup for my heavier weighted squats which has helped dramatically. Thanks for all of these informative videos!

It works well in theory. In practice ( under a load) there is no way to keep it.

Recommend for every squat, deadlift exercise?

I don’t think about it every day but my flat feet are definitely my worse feature that I hate that I wish I can change. Makes my knees bow in a little and makes me look like I have no structure. When I run and lift I definitely make myself keep an archer but when I’m stained I give in. I’ll give this a try.
