What Happens When You Run 1 Mile a Day for 30 Days?

Starting May 1st I ran a mile a day for 30 days straight. Ran with the wifey as well!

It sucked in the beginning, especially being a lifter for so many years and having not ran for a majority of the past few years. It was fun getting back into it. Mid way through it definitely got easier.

I was inspired to do this by a coach I use to work with, shout out to Coach Pierre, who actually did this for a whole year!

Results: Improved my mile time by almost 2 minutes, lost a 1lb, improved my body comp and kick started my habit of doing more things outdoors instead of always lifting. Would highly recommend anyone to give it a try.

Days 1 - 30 from 0:30 - 7:59
What happens explained at 8:00

Our mission here at Hyper Strength & Conditioning (HSC) is to coach the underdog to surpass even their own expectations. HSC was nothing but a dream by Austin Toloza who was an up and coming trainer in San Jose, CA. Through his journey training and working throughout the fitness industry from your local health club to the professional sports scene such as the NFL, he aspired to open his own facility that focused on providing the fundamentals of strength & conditioning to the masses. Growing up and being inspired by stories of heroism from Batman & Superman to Dragonball Z, he wanted to provide a training facility that embodied that culture where members could nerd out about their favorite storylines and characters with each other while also training and pushing one another.

Every day = consistency and consistency breeds success. Awesome challenge. I’m excited to see where this takes you going forward and to see your channel grow. I subscribed and am happy to keep supporting a fellow small YouTuber

I used to do 3 miles a day with a long run on the weekends to complete every month with over 120+ miles a month when I was in the Marines. Starting again today, 3 a day, long run on the weekends and maybe a rest day in between lol That sounds about right, we all have 20 minutes in our day to walk a mile or just wake up earlier!!

This is crazy! So interesting and informative! Love the grind, can’t believe you stuck it out for 30 days great work man!💪🏻 I probably wouldn’t have the ability to do that😂

Congrats! Great self-challenge. Cool to see such improvement in such a short period of time!

This is a good way to illustrate how quickly your body adapts to endurance exercises....your time improved drastically in 30 days....

But you lose the adaptation just as fast if you qere to take a month off.

People forget that running/cardio or any workout by itself is not going to make you shed weight like crazy without a proper diet. Glad you mentioned that you were on top of your eating. Running is my LEAST favorite thing to do, EVER! Until I injured myself lifting and now, I have to do stuff other than lifting which includes some mild running -_-
Great way to get started on something new and finding the positives that come out of it. I might give this a shot!

Congrats on completing the challenge ! Tbh I was expecting and hypothesizing more weight loss, but I guess there are a lot of other factors to consider like training/running intensity, diet, etc. great vid and thx for sharing !

Way to go! Do you have any future running plans? I'd love to get your advice on lifting for endurance runners! Keep it up... You have great content!

I am glad you showed the time differences per day. I was wondering how variable this gets as my own running has not been so consistent.

You're really out here motivating me to try doing this for 30 days. But my shin splints are crazy when it comes to running. How'd you reduce getting it?

Running has insane benefits but if people are asking about weight loss cardio isn’t the best option tbh HIIT strength training etc diet supplementation if needed but running helps everything core strength heart health has mental benefits blood benefits etc etc

I have to stretch before I run. Body feels to tight if I dont.
