Painful Pushup? Try This Strategy

We've all heard the cue "break the bar" during the bench press.

If you're experiencing shoulder pain during your push up, try applying the same principals of rotation to the movement. Grab/grip the ground, screw those shoulders into the ground, and see an increase in stability AND a decrease in pain.

Give this a go and report back in the comments.

I use this strategy too.
I like to lift something heavy over my head, and then walk with it. Walk a few steps, turn, walk, turn. During the turn, I have to create a ton of stability, and I queue it by gripping and rotate into the object I lift. Very helpful.
