In John 8:58, the King James Version has Jesus saying "Before Abraham was, I AM", with the phrase "I AM" in capital letters as if he were using a title. But the Greek expression in this verse does not use capital letters and is very different from the Hebrew expression found in Exodus 3:14, where God says, according to most modern Bibles, "I will be what I will be." In John 8:58, Jesus was not using a title to refer to himself. Neither was he claiming to be Jehovah God. He was simply explaining his pre-human existence. Some Bibles correctly translate Jesus' words as "Before Abraham existed, I have been" or "I existed before Abraham was born."

If he is on the same page as the father, then why does he ask things of the father, why would he need to ask for anything? Think of it like a corporate structure, the bottom employees (humans) never get to speak directly with the CEO (the father) they talk to middle management (Prophets)

Before Abrahams was appointed a Father to a multitude, Abraham was taking his son to slaughter, then lied to issac as to who was being God did not ask for the child, he asked for Abrahams alter ego, the one who made him laugh at God when told he would have a second child, it was his own understanding... In this paragraph Jesus said If you've seen me you've seen the father, then the apostle Philip asked him to show them The Father and it'll be enough, as in enough proof. Jesus responded, "Have I been with you for so long at a time and you still do not know ME Philip?"
