Hi 👋
Great overall advice but a couple of points to be aware:
1- A lot of people are able to do a hip dominant squat (what you are calling a low bar squat) with the bar resting on traps (high bar). This is not determined by the position of the bar, but the overall body’s capability (mobility, anatomy, stability, control, strength….) to perform whatever movement. If someone, for example, has limited hip strength and mobility and adapted to a more quad dominant movement pattern, it does not matter where the bar will be placed, they will probably have a preference for a knee dominant squat (especially if they have good ankle DF mobility). The reverse goes for someone with good hip strength and mobility but that perhaps lack some ankle DF mobility. They will probably have a bias towards a hip dominant squat basically because they use their hips well but their sheen bone has a difficult time advancing forward due to the lack of ankle DF, even if they rest the bar on their upper trap.

2- This one is a bit more concerning, with placing more weight on the outside of the foot. I see the point in having a wider base of support as this allows for a larger amplitude of hip flexion (needed for more trunk forward lean), and the cueing to push knees out (as this better engages hip ABDs and ER); BUT… losing contact with the 1° metatarsals might be a mistake, as this will create disruption in synergistic patterns of muscle control and stability (reducing overall stability and local ankle stability), as well as reducing the body’s ability to better distribute and share loads and forces between all joints, bones, muscles and all other tissues. (Force sharing)

Yes, this dos NOT mean you will have an injury, even though you could! It might strengthen whatever tissue you put under stress, but with poor whole body synergy, the risk of injury grows higher.
Imbalances in muscle control leads to
Deficits in force sharing, which means that some muscles might be working more than others and this will increase the load in specific areas and thus, possibly creating overuse, overload or compensatory injuries.

This will also lead to less efficacy in performing that movement, but for the average Joe, this might not be a big deal and if they train light to moderately, this will probably NOT be a problem. It would be a different story for someone who wants the best possible result and best injury prevention strategies. Then, it would be best to understand the nuances of movement patterns and force sharing principles.
Well, again… just adding some nuance to an overall very good tip.
Thanks.

I love ATG high bars, but they hurt on heavy loads. Low bar all day, plus the carry over to sumo deadlifts is insane.

Off topic, but what's your approach when finding the right boot? Not a lot of zero drop boot availability, especially when steel or composite toes are required for your job or LEO/Military.

High bar placement hurts my neck. Or I am doing it wrong

Seems like you're arching your back at the bottom of that high bar squat, doesn't that go against the ribs down, torso in alignment cue for bracing?

Doesn't this put more pressure on the lower bacl?

Wenning is giving lowbar a bad name by squatting high like that
