I recently moved to Chicago from Houston and one of the things I miss most is Half Price Books, my old stomping grounds. That, and the Tex-Mex...

Wow! Quite a haul! I read e-books on my kindle almost exclusively. I tend to buy books only when I’m going to read them since it is so immediate. My daughter on the other hand has filled her new “Billy” bookshelf with a plethora of YA and classics to keep her occupied this summer!

GREAT haul!!! Of everything you’ve hauled this last month, The Greatcoats Series is my favorite. I always think about it and if you need an audiobook, the narrator fantastic. I think you’re going to love it.
Half-Price books is exactly how I found the whole Faithful and the Fallen series and I scooped it all up.

This is one seriously epic haul. There are still some series here I haven't read/review (Alex Marshall's, Luke Scull's, Anna Smith Spark's, and Miles Cameron's) but for the rest that I've read, I have a good feeling you're going to love them. For Wounded Empire, that's the right expectation to go in! As I mentioned, I just bought The Traitor Son Cycle (UK editions; I love the cover more) paperbacks and I can't wait for them to arrive! :)

I've bought 15 books during quarantine, which doesn't sound too bad, except several of them were wish list, collectors, or deluxe editions. I liked what you said about finding a set of good looking books. I bought six Rick Riordan hardcover books; four of The Heroes of Olympus set, and two of the Magnus Chase series; at a used book store; because they had attractive, colorful, matching dust jackets. I guess I'll have to read them now.

I SO want to go to Bookman’s, our local used bookstore. I haven’t been since February. But even though they’ve reopened I have to be careful. I already have an awful disease and I don’t want the virus on top of it. I’ve been buying off Amazon, but I love browsing through a good bookstore. I know my haul will be crazy once I go. Even before all this I only went out a few times a month since it takes me days to recover, but even I’m starting to go stir crazy. Hopefully soon I’ll feel I can go out. When that happens Bookman’s will be my first outing!

That's an amazing stack of books! I'm kind of jealous of those the Grim Company hardcovers :D Time for a bookshelf tour update!

I have a Soft spot for the Weird West sub genre. I bought Territory by Emma Bull which was described as Tombstone with magic. Also all the Long Price Quartet and the first 2 books of The Poppy War.

I took a chance on purchasing a series this month that, apparently, you either love or hate called The Book of The New Sun. It's a fantastic read. Very different though in that it's sci-fi set thousands of years in the future, but also fantasy because society has reverted to a medieval setting. The four books aren't long reads, but they require your full attention. Great series though.

I myself have similar book series on the shelf Crimson Empire, The Traitor Son Cycle and The Greatcoats. Nice looking shelf when owning all the books.
