Longbourn is a fantastic retelling from a different perspective! With all of the Austen and P&P retellings out and coming soon (The Other Bennet Sister, Miss Austen, Charlotte), I decided to reread P&P also, and so will definitely have to check out your readings.

I've only read two of Svetlana Alexievich's books but they were both stunning. (Chernobyl Prayer and Zinky Boys)

I looooved Longbourn. It was such an incredible commentary on the working class esp in a work (P&P) that only focuses on middle to upper classes. It shows how the working class personal lives are very much affected and guided by their employers.

i read falling angels by tracy chevalier when i was like ... 14 maybe and i loved it sm... i remember it really vividly actually, would be interested to reread it!!
