My only gripe here is that it seems creepy and like a relationship red flag for any partner to ask for access to your phone or socials to begin with. It shows a lack of trust to start with, and that's in the best-case scenario. More often I see abusers are the ones who want this access. This isn't just with friends and partners either. When I was 18, my parents still demanded I hand over my laptop at night so they could go through my history to make sure I wasn't talking to anyone outside their church or looking at any websites they didn't agree with. So of course I got defensive about handing it over, and still am to this day as a result.

My ex bestfriend is a pathological liar despite her seemingly caring attitude and kind face. She betrayed me face to face yet she won’t admit her fault. Now, we still do communicate some times. But as the saying goes “trust is like a paper, once it’s crumpled it can’t be perfect again.”

It’s self growth, I’ve been there for a friend before and was told it wasn’t enough, that I was their problem, and called mean untrue things and picked on for my insecurities when all I have ever been to them was kind and caring and supporting and uplifting.
