This is wrong. AgX is not a color space. One should not call it that. sRGB, AdobeRGB or P3 are color spaces. AgX is color transform that converts Blender's reference linear color space to sRGB color space(or whatever color space display device is set to).

Great video!
'meshes' being a different data block than 'objects' is great and has been invaluable to me in the past when designing large game levels and the client needs changes to certain objects that have already been instanced and placed hundreds of times.
This felt very natural to me as an ex-maya user as maya has a similar setup in that the object transform is the parent of the mesh. Though swapping meshes in maya is a few more mouse clicks.

Re: your mesh swapping technique - one thing I also like to do is put my various objects into different collections and then add an object with no mesh data, put a geonodes mod on that one, and then in the GN add a collection instance node >Realize instances>Join geometry, referring to that collection.

Then if you want to make edits to that object you just tweak the objects in the collection and it will update in all the GN instanced objects.

This is great because you can add modifiers to the instanced objects, which isn't really doable with normal collection instances since those are empty objects.

It's also useful for when you come to a point where you need to "apply" the modifier stack on multiple objects and join them together to do further operations on them together. This allows you to do that, in essence, without actually applying the modifiers and keeping everything separate and procedural.

So you’re saying I should definitely update my blender version 👍

I'm so glad the team at blender care for their product and update their product frequently even though it's free. Some devs I unfortunately cannot say the same for.

I wonder is it a good news for amd gpu users as well.

Im an amd gpu, needs to render in Unreal Engine cuz in Blender it is so lag.

Thanks for the vid.
Btw 5:36 Anisotropic = an-iso-tropic not anis-tropic.

Perhaps you should have explained it like this;

Instead of doing repetitive work on ovject level, so for instance adding modififers and tye animation. You do it once and and use mesh data to swap it fast.

This ie basically also how lodify works

You could swap meshes previosly, i've seen this in 2.9 already
