People saying this like every update, but I want to say it again. As an ex UI/UX designer I was lucky enough to hop into 3d field and find the masterpiece where I wasn't expected to, in a tech software. I genuinely enjoy easy to learn hard to master thing, every time I think that my workflow setup in Blender is 2-3x superior and faster than in other software, I learn some ways to optimize it even more. Long happy live to entire Blender team and Ton himself!

The new mark sharp feature with smooth shading is huge. It is much more similar to 3ds max now. HUGE W

As excited as I am by the live compositor updates the improvements to the VSE knocked me right over. I hadn't heard anybody hyping this up at all, but it addresses so many points of friction I've been having when editing video in Blender. I didn't even know the devs were making it a priority!

Hyped for:

-Camera lock button (O. M. G)
-No more autosmooth (back to the old ways, which were better imo)
-Doing non-destructive autosmooth as a modifier, which is also a geonodes asset??? now THAT'S an improvement!
-Bone selection mode in weight paint mode
-Realtime compositing (I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope we eventually get access to these image-processing groups elsewhere, like in sequencer strips or image texture/procedural texture cache nodes in the shader editor.)
-Waveform calculation on by default (always have to go hunting for it, or forget it's there and find audio moments the hard way... this will be so much easier)

One of the reasons Blender is so great, especially compared to other open source projects, is that they are really good at staying focused on keeping the app on track with an overall vision instead of just adding sparse new tools and features here and there and then forgetting about them. Everything seems constantly reevaluated to determine how it fits in the bigger picture.
