Review: 2025 Toyota Crown Signia - Sleek, Stylish + Efficient Hybrid SUV

preview_player
Показать описание
The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is a new approach to a mid-size SUV, instead of Toyota's usual rugged approach, the Crown Signia is sleek, stylish and more like a slightly lifted wagon than a full-blown SUV. It's for those that want something nicer and roomier than a RAV4 but aren't ready to step up to a Lexus RX yet. While the Crown Signia probably won't be sold in large volumes, it's combination of 39 mpg, competitive pricing, good room and distinctive looks should win over quite a few people. What do you think about the Crown Signia? Thanks to Toyota for providing me with this opportunity!

You are the first one I am watching for this vehicle

The Venza wasn’t a bad looking vehicle, but the near-wagon nature of these proportions makes me more interested in a Signia.

bring back the wagonss. also after your bullitt video i started to pay more attention to your views compared to other channels and it genuinely bothers me. easily one of the best review channels out there and your vids are the ones i go to first when embargo’s like this drop. wish my one view would magically get your channel back to where it used to and deserves to be

A sharp, efficient alternative to our Outback 3.6R! (if we ever wear it out). Thanks Matt!

Surprised there is no hybrid max for the crown signia, but still a very appealing car and a great review! 😀

Matt, Having seen just about all of them, I believe this is one of the best Signia reviews on Youtube. 🙌🙌After reading untold numbers of comments complaining about the price, I have just watched you astutely rhyme off a hat full of genuine Signia competitors which are just as or even more expensive. I also like the attention you brought to the back seat. My only substantial concerns about this very welcome addition to the under-served wagon market are the missteps Toyota made in the second row. Instead of pioneering superfluous extension flaps and endlessly boasting about six and a half feet of storage behind the front seats. Toyota ought to have provided a traditional 40/20/40 second row that slides and reclines. A premium-priced, all wheel drive wagon ought to come equipped for the ski slopes but somehow Toyota has forgotten the ski pass through.🤨 Sadly, the missing 40/20/40 rear seat has been repeated with the new 4Runner and Land Cruiser.

Agree with you that it seems like a good choice for the 2 row. Looking forward to when these are on the CPO lot in a few years and depreciated a bit.

Love the vehicle, but the rear legroom is disappointing for a wagon-like vehicle. Love that bronze color!

Great job Matt & I'm interested on buying this.

Thanks Matt for another Amazing Review! Looks like the Crown Signia is the future of the CUV world, Hybrid Power and MPG in a Mid-Size package. These should be Mainstream and not a niche market at only 20K units a year that they are expecting, watch other companies jump on board with this style and packaging.

It's good looking stationwagon for sure.

I am new to your channel. I like your videos, but when a commercial comes on, I realize that I am out of breath just from listening to you talk so fast. It doesn’t seem like you take a breath at all during your long segments between edits. You give so much more information on vehicles than other channels, probably because you can fit it all in with that fast talking. Great videos!

Matt, can you give us an update on what vehicle are you planning on buying next now that the Bullit is gone? Could be a nice video comparing what cars you are thinking on buying.

Matt - How does the Signia drive/ride compared to a 25 Camry XLE? I like the wagon approach/practicality, just don't know if it's worth an extra 10K over an XLE Camry, and slightly less fuel economy over the Camry. Retiring soon, and want a good long distance road trip vehicle.

if this had a HYBRID MAX! prob SOLD ON IT! especially since this is 3k cheaper by MSRP... compared to a fully loaded platinum CROWN Sedan in the USA....

wish the CROWN SIGNIA had a more power or a more powerful powertrain option available. 7.8 0-60 unfortunately is

Loving the form factor, color, and design language they're going with. A lot of Lexus coming down to Toyota.

Great to hear about the 600-mile range, keyless access on the rear doors, etc... features like that are what can seal the deal for me.

the Mazda and Korean competitors are more likely to have discounts, right?... which would put the Mazda closer in price... but the Toyota should hold its value the most and be the easiest to sell down the road?

I like Hyundai's adventurous design, but the price of that is a car that can look dated over time, and they're not as refined as Toyota and Mazda... The Mazda CX-70 looks best overall and is RWD-based, but it is significantly larger than the Crown, given that it's a CX-90 with a 3rd row delete... and Mazda still doesn't have keyless access to the rear doors!

Yes, station wagons are back! I like that it is less boxy, much lower (though I did like being up high for visibility) and this really should have car like dynamics since it is a car in wagon form). It's time to stop pretending that we're "active" people, we are not, we go shopping and haul the offspring to their games and practices. The Venza that this is replacing went up $5K in the last 3 years without any upgrades and this is another $5K or more than the Venza so Toyota can maintain their position as the most profitable car maker in the world and it's less efficient on top of that. All that said, STATION WAGONS are back baby, finally getting what we actually need rather than the pretentious "tough off roaders" that we NEVER actually used. The few that do will buy the 4 runner.

Looks nice (since it's a newer design) but 6.7" ground clearance is a deal breaker for me. I would choose the Lexus NX350h over Signia if I'm shopping within a similar price range compact luxury SUV.
