The Toyota Crown arrived last year, replacing the full-size Avalon as the brand’s 4-door bridge to Lexus. They certainly didn’t go conservative with the exterior design, and now they’re adding to it with the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia. And we recently got some early drive time in Southern California.

Nice to see they found a way to carry on the Venza 🤣

Check out the Atari 2600 ‘Moon Patrol’ game. The design of all these cross-overs is eerily similar.

I like that it looks like a wagon. If it can tow at least 3500 pounds, I’ll have to look at it.

I just want wagons and hatchbacks. This isn't a bad-looking SUV, though.

I like the idea of it, but if I could purchase it with the 3.5 liter V6 like my old 2011 Avalon sign me up.

Great First Drive ! The statement for previous Camry wagon owners that never embraced the Venza should check out the Crown Signia is awesome! Miss that cool wagon !

It needs to have the power max option. I was going to buy one till I saw the engine Specifications

Do you know when you will be reviewing the Toyota Corolla FX?

Trying to see if it's an actual upgrade or if it's a replacement for the Nightshade edition.

Thanks!

This a great and worthy competitor to the Volvo V90 Cross Country. The crown signia is cheaper, more efficient, and can tow upto 2700 lbs. for the price, it looks like a great alternative for the V90 Cross Country.

I predict that it won’t. It fills a gap that nobody knew was there.

Why do they call this a Crown? Those used to be the only Toyotas you'd have over a Lexus, perhaps except the Land Cruiser 300 series. Now it's just a twin with the TX 500h?

Price is my issue. Other than that id get one. Still might

Toyota has so many models in Australia, Africa, Europe and Asia. They
Never bring their A vehicles in the US???

The problem is, it costs the same as the Rav4 Prime, which has more cargo room, more horsepower, better mpg when it's charged, and in some states qualifies for a tax rebate because of it's plug in capabilities. If I had $50k to spend on a toyota and wasn't getting the 86, GR corolla, or supra it'd definitely be the Rav4 Prime

I missed those old Toyota crown.big engine big wide saloon with very robust and yet simple mechanicals..with sound luxury more or less just like that of an early volvo.for us down far east ..a car fit for royal dignity.

I hope no one wants this so I can get a hell of a deal on it. The wagon version looks amazing.

So almost 1” more ground clearance than the sedan makes is a crossover? Let’s get real. It’s a hatchback or short station wagon.

Hmm, that looks fine and dandy. Especially for a crossover utility, but I don’t like the CVT or eCVT transmissions that came with this. But other than that it looks good
