"Don't quit on a dream because it takes a lot of time. That time is going to pass anyway" THATS THE QUOTE

My mistake: Binge cheating once a week can ruin a two week progress. If you want a donut eat it, but don’t eat 2 dozen of them once a week

One of my biggest mistakes was viewing excerise as a way to get rid of calories, instead of seeing it as something that makes me feel strong, confident and healthy. That shift in perspective made it much easier to enjoy working out and helped turn it into a habit that I do for its benefits on my mental and physical health - not as a punishment for eating.

"Don't quit on a dream because it's gonna take a lot of time, that time is gonna pass anyways."

That's a great quote. Getting that on a hoodie.

I'm 45, and when I heard Will say "because that time is gonna pass anyway" something really hit me hard. Thanks Will.

“Don’t expect things fast, just appreciate the journey” just put me in a really good mindset. I’m 8 weeks back into the gym and was getting pretty upset that this last 10-12lbs of fat won’t drop, thanks for that advice Will

I lost 60lbs (out of an 80lb goal so far) and one mistake it took me a long time to unlearn is realizing when I’m actually satisfied. For so long I was conditioned to eat until I was uncomfortably over-stuffed, so it took me a while to realize I was actually “full” way before I reached that point and get used to stop eating at that mark.

The one problem I had when tracking calories was forgetting to count any calories in butter, olive oil, or sauces that I cooked with. Easily added 300-400 calories a day and I switched over to non stick spray to lose those calories

Big mistake: no moderation, too much restricting. Let yourself eat your favorite foods every once in a while, if you restrict too much you will likely fall into a binge cycle.

Confusing “healthy” foods with low calorie foods, they are not the same thing! For example nuts, avocado, eggs, all wonderful healthy foods but high calorie so best to use in moderation when trying to cut

My dieting tip: Not only eating healthy but also taking at least 2-3 hour breaks between meals to give your body the time to digest and lower your insulin levels

I lost 100 pounds and the biggest takeaway I learned was MODERATION. You can enjoy pretty much anything as long as it's in MODERATION. Best of luck to you all on your own personal journeys!

I was the biggest I’ve ever been at 214 pounds and I found out I was having a kid and decided I needed to get in better shape for him. I lost just over 50 pounds in 4 months and got down to 162. I didn’t prioritize my protein intake so I lost a fair amount of muscle but now I’m doing it the correct way and I’m up to 170 with more muscle and less fat. My best advice it to be patient, take progress pictures, weigh yourself weekly not daily, and be happy. Find something that works for you and stick with it! If I can do it anyone can! Good luck to anyone reading this 💙💙

A mistake I was making while dieting was making sure everything was as bland as possible. If I was enjoying my food, it must be unhealthy. Adding salt, splenda, or any zero calorie topping such as Walden Farms syrup was a no-no. It was just so unsustainable because I wasn’t enjoying my food, causing me to yoyo diet. After finding your channel and Dr. Greg Doucette’s, I started making creative and tasty foods with a high volume to calorie ratio, and it’s been really enjoyable and I look forward to cooking all the time!

Honestly, I love the way that you talk to us people looking for advice. There are too many videos on the Internet of people trying to give advice while actively shaming people for not being fit. I love good advice that is encouraging, but also firm. Not many people on the Internet, strike the balance between shaming those that are overweight and encouraging bad habits. You tell a hard truth without making us feel bad about it. Thank you!

i remember thinking that as long as I ate "clean" i would lose weight and did not have to worry about calories. Could not understand why I wasnt losing weight. Started counting calories and have lost almost 10kg now

I can say my first mistake was thinking that I could just exercise and not worry about my diet. When I started watching what I eat and I tried keto, I lost 100lbs in one year over the pandemic.
