13 years together 10 married and Once kids came along, all her love and energy went on them. I was left with the scraps. Physical intimacy went out the window and never returned, i tried so many times and got rejected. I gave up trying and waited for her to initiate it. It never happened. I distanced myself and shut down my feelings and stopped listening to hers, not intentionally but We became friends and now we are separated. Im devastated. Theres nothing as painful as love. Our connection in the early days was incredible, it was like a drug. I dont think ill ever find a love like that again. We had the same morals, boundaries, respect and goals. My god it was unbelievable. I miss her soo much. Shes dating someone new now and it almost killed me, ive been in a very dark place

I agree. We always want to rush home to see the other. I ask him about his day, if he's spoken to the children, hear from his mother. He asks how I'm doing, how I'm feeling and other things. We discuss the pets and things to note. We are very affectionate and try to plan something once a week.

This spoke to me so badly. I sadly this year fucked up in my marriage and engaged in conversations with people online I should never have.

I betrayed my wife's trust and hurt her so badly. Iv been working to make us better ever since and it's been hard but it can get better. But to his point the relationship became tertiary to our daughter and our turbulent life of moving etc.

Don't ever loose sight of what matters and work on your relationship with the one you love.

To me, if the marriage is good, you don't need to set 90 minutes aside to talk because it would be done naturally.

As a woman, I am a talker. I like to share my mind with my mate & feel close to him. However, that has to be reciprocated. He needs to be transparent as well.

Unfortunately, when one is open book & the other is a closed book (hides/lies due to insecurity), the marriage is still doomed.

Well unless it was happy times talked about or all light and love then it was not real or too nwgtive. Those talks never happened neither did the dates. So it fell apart. But od course it was good for what it was good for.
