Back in the 50's The biggest bartering item was Canned goods and water for have sure changed...now gas, ammo is up there. Water was a lot cleaner back then, amazing now filter devices are a necessity.

Here we go again... Another great video from Jack. Keep up the good work. One of the great things about this channel is the frequency of uploads. Thanks for the heads up on camping survival

From an actual civil war that sealed of a city where guns were abundant ammo was actually quite low on the list of items being traded. Items in demand were water treatment and food, fire making abilities, tobacco and alcohol, medications and first aid, information and safe passage from one area to another.

Don't know how you don't have atleast 5x times as many subs. This is probably one of the better survival/outdoor instructional channels. The best part is the actual experience and personal presentation style. Thanks for making the vids, so many people learning essential information.

Excellent video!!! You are right on spot but let me just add some items though (verified in Sarajevo, ex Yugoslavia): toothpaste, toilet paper, soap, lighters, wet wipes, garbage bags. Thanks for the information!

Good ideas.

I sure wish people would make a point of mentioning that fish antibiotics are a great item to buy and store with preps...

BUT...

Don't take them for convenience or to save money.

If it's not an emergency situation (Grid down, earthquake, storm, whatever) DONT TAKE ANTIBIOTICS unless they have been prescribed to you by a doctor.

If we all start doing that, we're going to create superbugs and wind up ironically causing the disaster we're preparing for.

Thanks for the video. Get some more hats, please. Coyote brown with that subtle logo off to the side and no velcro patch.

Great topic! I've been thinking about this a lot lately to do a video on it as well. Extra water filters is a great idea.
Personally I wouldn't barter with any sort of weapon just so it won't come back to bite me in the ass afterward.
It's hard to say what people will resort to in really hard times.

I think you nailed this subject right on the head.

If you have enough ammo to barter, and the other has a lack of them, then you have no need to barter, LOL!

Great suggestions. I've allways thought for food honey is a great barter item. It can be used in medical situations and for food. and lasts for ever.
Thanks for the good ideas especially the water filtertration/bottle. hope to see a review of this. Stay safe stay prepared.

Would love to see a video about how you store your gear/ outdoor equipment. My current setup isn't working very well.

Barter items are often overlooked. I have the same items listed for bartering. For now the only problem for us is that we stock survival items for us and very little extra.

Last thing i would want is to trade any life essentials (ammunition/weapons, food/water, medical supplies, weapons and tools) supplies, unless you have a ready source like a garden, manufacturing plant or control an medical warehouse.. However, habitual items would be easier to let go because it is something people want but not really need.
