i wish gyms would just stick to their job and provide us with proper lat pullover machines. so we can actually isolate the lats. ots hard to go heavy with this exercise because their is so many other muscles involved with keeping yourself ateady.

I have a question that hopefully someone could answer.
When I do my pull downs I seem to have a lot of core activation in my sets, and I know that’s probably normal a little bit but it seems like more activation than even lats. I tried lowering the height of the bar to around eye level but maybe the core is supposed to be that sctice

Still don't feel my lats here. It's not hitting my arms so I know I have the right form. Maybe not every workout is for everyone

Even you're doing it wrong mate. You must bend your arms while squeezing the lats. So it covers the whole back. It's better.
