Grew up Pentecostal. Never in a million years would I have ever imagined that I would be Orthodox. When introduced to it by Jay Dyer here on YouTube it took a couple years to be fully convinced of it. Have been baptized recently into the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic church. Bless God for his grace ☦☦☦

Was Muslim, was this close of becoming Protestant, then I found the Orthodox church. It is truly the original church of Christ.

"It's the nature of demons to fall and never get up. It's the nature of angels to never fall. It's the nature of humans to fall and get up again" Brilliant answer

I was baptist until 12 years ago. Becoming Orthodox is the Best thing I’ve ever done in my life.

I was Protestant for almost my whole life. Basically Baptist/Non-Denominational. I got tired of emotion and going to Church and getting a concert followed by a motivational talk. I, by the providence of God, discovered the Orthodox Church. I didn't even know what it was. On January 12th of 2020, I was Chrismated into the one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I have never known such repentance. It is more than just an emotion. Emotions are fickle.

I grew up Greek Orthodox and later in life went to a non-denominational Protestant church for two years. What that did was solidified my faith in the Orthodox Church. I love my Eastern Orthodox Church. It might not be for everybody, but I believe it is the true Church.

I was Lutheran. Walked into an Orthodox Church and felt swept up by the presence of the place. And the Saints in the icons were looking at me like old friends. Obviously I became Orthodox and started on the true way.

Grew up Baptist but had a crisis and found the Jesus Prayer. Then I found the Orthodox Gardener channel, and then read the Church Fathers and The Way of the Pilgrim. There is such depth in Orthodoxy, it's impossible to explain in a 10 minute conversation. It takes some converts years to decide. It's like the meat and milk Paul speaks about. Orthodoxy is definitely meat, and even the most deep and amazing things I've heard in Baptist sermons now seem like milk and incomplete by comparison. No offense meant, and I have great respect for my ancestors and parents. They just were inheritors of a belief that was rightly rebelling against Catholic abuses, but they threw the baby out with the bath water and lost the Eucharist, which was universally believed to be the body and blood of Christ (John 6:21 to the end of the chapter). Now we need psychologists and counselors, but we were meant to have spiritual fathers like Paul was to Timothy. We Protestants don't have the sacraments to give us extra grace. We thought they were unnecessary because some Catholics in the middle ages abused them for monetary gain. The same thing happened in the Old Testament with Eli's sons, but that did not cancel the role of high priest just because some temple priests were evil.

Grew up baptist and never felt love inside me, was in prison 14 years and 5 months, my last year inside I met a life timer who started to talk faith to me, at first I brushed him off, but in time he made me think of his words he spoke more and more each day. He showed me that GOD loves me and I just have to let him into my heart, he was reading from a Orthodox Bible, I asked him how long he was Orthodox he said I always been, just didn't know it till he was 72 years old he was 84 when I met him, but he said he was never baptized Greek Orthodox when he himself was saved at 72 because he was given a life sentence for his crimes. 40 days before I was release from prison I started to pray for the first time in 25 years, I said to GOD I will become baptized Orthodox when I get out of this hell hole, the very next morning the man who took time to set me straight passed away, The guards said that he wrote me a letter but they were not able to give it to me, but the one guard told me what he wrote me. 8 words only ( I CAN NOW REST IN PEACE THANK YOU ) the guard asked me what's that letter about. Its been 9 years now that I have been Orthodox, life has now been really good to me I to have peace and feel love in my soul for the first time. It's never to late to find the truth.

I’m Greek Orthodox, baptized at birth. After many years as a science zealot, a Dawkins atheist - I find myself coming back to my faith. It speaks to me unlike the many other paths I’ve traveled, searching for ‘the answer’. Dorothy said it best - ‘there’s no place like home’. This was a great discussion. Thanks for posting this.
