In this video, I'll walk you through the process of updating the BIOS on your Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 (rev. 1.x) motherboard to support the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processor, using QFlash. I recently bought this bundle from Micro Center, but out of the box, the motherboard doesn't support the CPU.

We’ll cover:
Checking for BIOS compatibility
Formatting your USB drive to FAT32 using Rufus
Downloading the latest BIOS from the Gigabyte website
Flashing the BIOS using Gigabyte's Q-Flash without the CPU installed

Big thanks! Wasn't getting anywhere until seeing your video and pulling ram and CPU then retrying Q-Flash.

For anyone who followed this and still can't boot. Make sure you have your RAM sticks in a 2-4 configuration instead of 1-3 configuration.

you're a legend thanks. gigabyte's website is not very helpful. you'd think they would create videos showcasing this stuff.

In case anyone is having the same problem I had before solving it:

I finished my whole build similar to this video and only then found out about this updating bios issue. I tried multiple different ways to download without disassembling with no avail. Last ditch effort i just unplugged all my cpu wires to the motherboard (cpu opt, cpu fan), Took out both Rams, and tried again. This time after it finished and rebooted a few times i turned off the power and then turned the pc on with the power key and turned on the power supply too. IT WORKED. Not sure this will work for everyone but just thought I'd share in case this helps someone.

I just updated to A5569 and saw performance improvements of 10%. I was amazed, system AMD Ryzen 9900, DDR 7200 CL34, AMD 7900XT GPU with SN850X 4TB drive. World War Z using Vulkan went from 305 FPS after several runs to 328 (1st run was 331, but 328 each run after). Cyberpunk went from 168 FPS to 189 FPS. I normally game at 4K, but I just upgraded my CPU and wanted to see the gains over my old 5900X the 9900X brought. Initially some disappointed. World War Z for example was 264 compared to 179 FPS on my 5900X. Cyberpunk was 168 high settings compared to my old 5900X 155 FPS. Re-image my machine to 24H2, tested, saw a performance improvement. WWZ for example bumped up to 301-305 FPS from 264FPS. Updated the bios and saw another jump in overall 9900X performance. CPU Z score went from 13 to 15.1.

So the Ryzen none 3D have a tone of performance locked behind Windows issues, and early bios. There's no need to O.C. you would probably get a lower score due to the limited nature of overclocing on the Ryzen 9900 is around 5.3 GHZ all scores when half of the CCD can hit 5.7 GHZ on occasion.

Are you serious wow the same bundle costs at least 600€ in Europe.
Anyway, I’m here for the flash process while waiting to receive the same motherboard. So thanks for video in advance.

Sorry new pc builder here. I got the same set off of micro center and was wondering, I could simple do my whole build just don’t put the ram in and don’t connect the cpu cables and I should be good to update the bios?
