They all have to do several weeks volunteering in a school, GP, hospital, care home, social care and police within their first 12 months in office.

Pay should be increased for recruits. The day rate for soldiers is £58.99, seriously? That's like £22k... You don't need National Service, you need to pay your recruits more.

As a military veteran, and a former conscript, I would NEVER reintroduce conscription as the UK Prime Minister. It is involuntary servitude. Training is hazardous and may involve paying the ultimate price, which should NEVER be involuntary.

Your Excellency, please kindly be the first to enlist for 12 months in the military in a unit with high chance of deployment before conscripting other people's children.
