I agree wholeheartedly with Wes Streeting, my dad had a very fractured secondary education due to WW2, he also missed out on apprenticeships due to conscription! I didn’t expect my 3 granddaughters eduction to be impacted in the same way 80 years later primarily due to government failure to prepare for a pandemic despite warnings!!

Soaring energy bills, food prices and housing costs are overwhelming millions of families and pensioners. They need a Government with a plan to tackle this cost-of-living crisis, but instead the Conservatives have made it so much worse with all their chaos.
They crashed our economy and added hundreds of pounds to people’s monthly mortgage payments. They have added to the pain with unfair tax rises and deep cuts to crucial public services, just to pay for the damage they themselves caused.
The Conservatives have let the NHS crisis spiral out of control, failing to deliver the new hospitals they promised and making people wait hours for an ambulance or months for urgent cancer treatment.
They are allowing water companies to pump filthy sewage straight into our rivers, damaging our precious local environment. And they have broken their promise on policing, leaving too many communities plagued by burglaries and anti-social behaviour and letting far too many criminals get away with it.
All that must change.
That’s why more and more people are turning to the Liberal Democrats. They know we work hard for our communities, we hear your concerns, and never take you for granted.
It’s why so many people supported us by-elections in Buckinghamshire, Devon and Shropshire. They told us they had voted Conservative all their lives, but never again. And it’s why we gained more seats than any other party at last year’s local elections, winning seats from both Labour and the Conservatives.
