I went through two periods in 2022 and 2023 where I fell into a rut (currently still in one now). I knew for a long time that the cause was job-related. Simply put, my ideal career doesn't exist, so I have to create it myself. My problem is getting started. Motivation isn't something that works for me, so I love the idea of how your actions, even just 10 minutes, can generate the energy you need to get a task done and to maybe even keep going. 🖤

gaining motivation through action is such a real thing! everytime i'm on the verge to procrastinate i tell myself "all i have to do is start" and i automatically gain momentum cuz i'd be too lazy to leave it mid-way.. it's almost like reverse procrastination 😅

I love the doing something nice for another person idea. It’s such a lovely way to shift the focus on stressing over our own lives by helping out or surprising another person with a kind act they didn’t expect ❤

Hi Jillz, thank you very much for this video! I've been at home because of a burnout from work for the past 2 months. I've started to realise I was in a pretty bad place! I now feel so much better and have decided to address the root of that burnout/slump: I don't like my job. I knew it from the beginning but kept ignoring the signals... I now took the decision to start my own business, which is what I've been wanting all along :) I can confirm that the steps you laid out in this video are EXACTLY the ones I went through to feel better! I'm sure this will be very helpful to anyone who is in a slump right now. Take courage, listen to the signals and go for it! And don't forget to take care of yourself too :)

You could be a good coach! I would say that getting out of the house is a crucial part of setting yourself up for success when you're in a rut. Walks without a phone are especially helpful. You get the fresh air flowing, focus on where you wanna go instaed of your worries and when you come back you're ready to get your pomodoro clock and slowly get to work!

Oh wow… this is me right now! I came back from a disastrous holiday about a month ago and since then - I stopped yoga, stopped meditating, stopped exercising and was irritated by everyone and everything 😂
