How to quickly get out of a rut

We've all had that feeling before, at one point or another in our lives, where we fall into a rut. For me it was at the very start of lockdown. Right when I had finished my big exam and had to quarantine at home instead of traveling, I tried to take it as a optimistic chance to work on my other passions and business. But just like that, the rut comes out of nowhere and you fall right into it without even knowing. How do you get out of a rut and get motivated? How do you regain motivation for school when you can't even regain motivation for daily activities..?

🙏 Thanks for watching!

I can relate to this soooo much 😩
few weeks ago, when my final exam ended, i had this to-do-list for holiday, but I ended up by watching youtube, eating a lot, and sleep for like 10 hours :)
but I reached this point where I felt bad for doing nothing, I'm glad I'm back in the right track!
btw, thank you so much for the tips! def gonna need it anytime in the future! 😉

Admitting your state really is the first, most important, and perhaps the hardest step 😭😔

So relatable! This pandemic and staying home has really deactivated a lot of us, and it's difficult to get going again!

I was JUST procrastinating from starting to study, feeling super over it and burnt out. I think I'm in a rut. The first step to clawing out: watch Mike and Matty video! Second step: get out of said rut.

1-make it hard for procastination, remove things
2-build simple momentum in everything
3-5 years

I was JUST journaling about feeling so unmotivated yesterday—Great timing! Thank you for the video! I love the tidbit about breaking down tasks into achievable smaller parts. It helps get the momentum going and sets me the right path.

So universal. You're right - it's just all in our heads. Motivation comes and goes our whole lives. There's no reason to get surprised by it or derailed by it or scared of it. I always say #doitanyway. Whether I'm motivated enough. I really like hearing the biology behind this -- hemorrhaging dopamine... yep!

I've been productive for 3 months now but it has been two weeks and I'm stuck in my comfort zone more than I've ever been, I'll try to do your steps and see after one week. Thanks for your vid was really great 🥺

This is so true! That’s why I’m starting to pump myself up and try to get into a “normal” school schedule as early as now for our online classes next week 😂 but I’m also saving inspiration photos to build a dream board to keep me focused on my goal.

Great tips. We all fall into ruts from time-to-time. It's nice to have a game plan ready for the next one.
