My issue is column A has unique values, column B contains matches with column one and duplicates that only appear in column 2. I used this formula: =MATCH(A2, $B$2:$B$10237, 0). What I got was all of column B was matched and some of the positive matches were not matched in column A

This was very helpful, thank you! However, I'm finding that this returns any cell with a partial piece of the information that is duplicated, for example, Thomas Jones will be matched to Jason Thomas or Thomas Matthews. Any suggestions on how to work around this?
