Pinch your shoulder blades, arch your back, elbows should be right under your wrist. Arching your back and pinching your shoulder blades together keeps the pressure off your shoulder blade and more on your upper chest.

You still arch your back. The reason is so you use more chest and have more power in the movement as well as less shoulder being used with more core involved.

@iModpsp if no one has answered this, benchpress is when the bench is flat, incline is when the bench is raised, where the head is at.

I thought you bring the bar all the way down to your chest. He is only bringing 80% of the way down.

@Respecthebrotherhood Eating healthy will mostly help out that problem, but yes bench press does help too.

the bar its too heavy on me i just can do 3 times lol and after that my trecipes hurts me a lot

@NastyTigerstyle It certainly depends. One could choose to either bench with a flat back or arched back.
Recently I tweaked my back by arching it during this exercise, not too bad but enough to make the week uncomfortable for me.
Arching your back may also result in using more of your mid pecs than you want in the exercise (this is important if working your upper pecs are priority).
But yes, always, always, always, tuck the shoulders!

@belldogg19 You need to be careful with joint pain. It can cause serious harm. I can't tell you exactly what your doing wrong cause i dont know but joint pain is bad bad bad. I stopped benching since it was to hard on my neck and back. hope this helps.

I heard when you lift the bar, you have to make a L shaped with your hands. Not to flex all the way up!
