all you need:
One sugar pumpkin

what you do:
1- Cut the pumpkin lengthwise, scoop out the seeds and strings (keep the seeds to roast them).
2- Pour a tiny bit of water on the pumpkin to help with steaming, then flip on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3- Pierce the skin in a few places and bake at 350F for about an hour.
4- Let it cool, then scoop it out and puree in a food processor or blender until creamy.
5- Keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for over a month!

I did your exact process but i rubbed in cinnamon into the meat of the pumpkin and holy smokes the smell as it roasts in the oven is straight up devine

How much did the pumpkin weigh compared to how much it weighs as a purre

Mine looks nothing like that and when I took it out of the oven it was in a puddle of pumpkin juice

I don't buy it either I grow 3 size baking pumpkins the larger ones are great for chilis an stews
