Thank you for this video! How would you address flaky skin under makeup? Upon first inspection my skin looks moisturized and healthy, but on days that I apply a light foundation I can see areas where there's flakes that want to peel. I do use tretinoin every other day and glycolic acid 2x/week and have for quite some time. I just never had a problem when I wanted to wear makeup and now I don't like to because the foundation really highlights the flakiness.

I have a dull dry tight flaking skin, no oils, no moisture present and when i moisturise it stays hydrated for a very very short period of time then goes back to being dry.I think i may have a nutritional deficiency but i dont know what it could be

Thanks for this, Dr Dray. I definitely have issues with flakey skin in the Winter and I appreciate the reason why flakey skin occurs. Awful story....when my sisters and I were little and had sunburn, we would make a game out of who could peel off the biggest piece of skin! 😵 And then we'd slather ourselves with Noxema!
