I am an equipment operator for much of the year, which means I am in a seated position. Going over various grounds for 12 hours a day, while operating various steering components. first try of the stretches for only about 10 seconds each variation even felt great

Stretch is very important. It also prevents injury from exercise. I do stretch every morning before jumping out of bed. At 71, no shoulders pain, no back pain, walk hours daily, hanging bars, swimming like a fish everyday. No missing a day stretching. I believe stretch help to handle well the cold days because it regulate blood circulation.
Very good video and helpful for those who forget or ignore the most important daily routine.

I drive for Uber as a part-time.
Today, I drove for 7 hours with a couple of bathroom breaks.
When I got home, I felt disconfort in my hips and lower back.
These stretches helped me to loosen up and was able to rest better.

One important thing that they forgot to mention is to tighten your stomach when you’re doing the hip flexor stretch as well as the doorway stretch. Make sure you’re not over arching or lower back during either of these, since he will not gain as much benefit out of it. The doorway stretch Can also coincide with a hip flexor stretch if you do it properly. For McKenzie push-ups, I would recommend laying on a hard surface propped up on your elbows. For a minute or two and then performing the push-ups up to a comfortable level 10 times in between.

#1 is literally the 1st stretch i do every night before bed. #2 & #3 arent every day stretches, but are in my regular repetoire. Due to my anterolisthesis, ive been advised by my physio n chiro not to do #4. Based on my experience with them 1-3 are essential stetches for sure. And not just for frequent sitters. I walk a lot at work (12-25k steps a day depending on how busy it gets), but its all on tile-on-concrete floors. Does a number on those front hip muscles and the back/lats. And posture goes to shit as you get tired too. A quick peck stretch helps reset that a little and as you said, it just feels good any ways.

Simple math. 5 exercises (incl 1 unilateral) for 3 sets each while holding each rep for 30 seconds equals to: 30*3*6 = 9 minutes. Without any pause. Add 15 seconds between each set adds another 4-5 minutes.

So we are talking about 15 minutes you should plan. Not 5 to 10 as wrongly stated near the end of this video …
