That actually runs in my family. My grandfather who passed due to alcoholism made me promise him I'd never drink, and 27 years old I have never had a sip of alcohol. He saved me from a life of dependency on it, I hope to see him again some day and tell him I kept that promise.

That was me. I am Welsh and Scottish and my mum called it the "Celt Curse" I would drink my paychecks. I couldnt stop. I would not black out. Money would run it would get bad. I finally had to get help. The cure? Stop drinking. 20 years later Im better for it. Not a drop since 2003. It was the only way I could get well, hold a job down and not blow my money

It’s important for people to know that his analysis was mental and not physical. If you abuse alcohol it will take your life.

My fiancé doesn’t drink very often at all, but this video describes him so well. i and all of our friends are CONVINCED this man cannot get drunk, at all. It’s like he doesn’t lose his coordination or judgment or slur his words, he just gets really bubbly and happy

I get more friendly and happy. I've never blacked out. I always thought my friends talking about blacking out and having no recollection from prior night were messing with me. I remember everything the next day, even the embarrassing stuff. Actually, it stops me from over-drinking.

I don’t drink anymore because of this. It’s called the COMT mutation. I have it and a lot of my family members are alcoholics because of it. It’s not a fun mutation I’ll tell you that

Edit: I’m sorry that’s all I really wanted to share
