I never really drink but at one point I drank every night. But I decided one day I’m going to quit cold turkey and I did. Not drank ever since

Alcohol is not only the worlds most boring drug, its the most dangerous drug. So we make it legal and base a huge part of the economy on it. Very smart. Legalize everything.

How long after your last drink does it take for cortisol levels to return to whatever normal function is?

I drank on Fri and Sat nights. I hated Sunday nights thinking about returning to work on Monday morning. Interesting.

Stress is a motivator, vices are what fuels life’s motivations, without vices we’re just watchers, bystanders, spectators of what fun it is living life.

Years ago, when I was drinking, and I was drinking a hell of a lot more than 2 to 4 drinks on the weekend, I drank like 18 beers and a quart of whiskey, it got to the point where if I had even one beer, I couldn't sleep. So, I haven't had any alchohol in 22 years. I like my sleep.😊

My hubby quit drinking at age 27 after drinking heavy from ages 18 to 26...college and Navy life. He never regretted it. No more hellish hangovers. Ugh! Always positive and up personality.

Seen too many bad things happen because of lack of self control when drinking. My son is quadriplegic thanks to an uninsured drunk driver.

If course because some people have learned to rely on alcohol... addictive road, rather than seek out other ways of decompressing like meditation, exercise, breathe work, therapy.... Massage, talking to a friend, finding an activity you enjoy

Has it occurred to you that people are drinking BECAUSE they are stressed? I mean this politely.

I feel like responsible daily consumption of a few glasses of wine or an evening cocktail mellows me out and makes me a bit happier overall

I think soda is the same, where "regularly" = everyday. No drinking = anxiety :(
