I lost belly fat by cutting out 2 things for 5 weeks, which were refined sugar and white flour. It was crazy-hard at first, but within 4-5 days I lost my craving for sugar. Didn't think about sugary sweet treats or stuff like pizza and pasta and didn't want them. By the second week, I was forgetting to eat! Hunger dropped off dramatically. This was before Ozempic. Now I have an occasional sweet treat or a slice of pizza, and in 4 years have not regained the weight. The commitment to good health has really paid off for me. 😊

I know you get tired of talking about it but it’s one of those things where repetition is critical. Thank you!!! 🙏🏻

I’m under 20 carbs. I’ve gone 71 hrs fasting. I started 2021. I lost 25 pounds immediately plus inches. It was amazing. Then I started tipping feeling drunk. Stepping in holes that weren’t there. I decided to eat a freaking baked potato with sour cream. The first one in 3 years. No big deal right? Maybe I’ll go back to keto and it will start working again. Aug. 5 183.6 pounds. Go! Order the book, drink a green tea, go to sleep. That 183 is up from 175. Dang potatoes.😢😮😐

I've been doing intermittent fasting, whole foods, no refined sugar, and low carb since the middle of May. I switch my fasting window generally between 16 and 19 hrs fairly regularly. I've done low carb before and lost weight, but this is the first time with fasting. I'm finding it easier, and I've lost weight faster. I'm especially noticing it on my belly. It's almost creepy.

I'm disabled with mobility issues due to long term rheumatoid arthritis (23 years). I'm not super active. I'm finding this way of eating the most suitable and sustainable for me, even during menopause. I've lost 19.5lb since 15th May, which is awesome considering my mobility.

I do 10 min walks (with crutches), weights (only 3kg as I don't want to damage my joints more), resistance bands, and use a mini portable cycle thing with my arms for 30 to 45 mins to get my heart rate up and help keep/create muscle tone.

I've still got a long way to go, but I've adopted this as a lifestyle now, and I don't even miss the things I've stopped eating. If I want something sweet, I'll mix chopped strawberries with full fat Greek yoghurt, chia seeds and a few walnuts or almonds, let it sit for a few mins, and devour it. Sometimes I'll add 10g of dried mango for extra sweetness. It's like eating strawberry cheesecake, at least to me.

So, even if you are crippled up like me, fasting and low carb combined with cutting ultra processed foods works great.

I’m a 44 lb lighter faster. Took me over a year to repair many issues with keto, carnivore and fasting. Was told I wouldn’t be able to lose weight at 73 and on HRT at my yearly check up so I bought my Dr. Fast like a girl so we’d be on the same page. Still have miles to go but nothing is stopping me. Thanks Mindy for all of your compassion, humor, ability to serve my hunger for how to take care of this amazing machine I call home, with knowledge, science, common sense and love. Boot and rally ladies!

This works! I'm a 57yro. F, started keto and 18:6 IF 5 weeks ago at 135lbs. I eat under 30g of carbs/day, and have increased walks from 15 minutes to 1 hour/day. I've lost 11lbs. According to my smart scale, fat% went from 32.9 to 30, visceral fat index dropped to 6 from 7. I haven't had this much energy years, inflammation gone, sleeping better and plan on staying on this course of action. I have thrown in a few 24hr. fasts in the last few weeks with no negative side effects.

Bottled water also contributes to hormone imbalance due to the plastic from petroleum so use glas or stainless steal bottles from proper filtered water or artisan well water

So I wanted to post an update comment. I’m on vacation right now but I watched this video while at the pool when it came out this weekend and I decided to track my net carbs and increase my walking while here in a Florida resort. I don’t have a sweet tooth so it wasn’t hard. And we have a kitchen in our unit so we had healthy fats and proteins already as well as fruits and veggies and of course some unhealthy snacks for my husband because he’s not on board with how I eat.

Anyway I started tracking Sunday and increasing my walks and when I weighed myself on the gym scale I was 2 lbs lighter than I was on Sunday morning.

So ladies, don’t give up. Sometimes we have to tweak things. I was doing IF but not really seeing big changes externally. And I’m still in a very healthy weight range but it was bugging me a bit that I had a little bit more fluff on lower belly. I have a flight home on Thursday evening so you bet I’m going to keep at this. I never feel deprived bits not much different than how I normally eat but just a little adjustment ❤

I started IF and doing a (50-100 grams of net carbs) Keto diet mid-March. Since then I’ve lost 58 lbs and my visceral fat went from 10 to 7. I have so much more energy, less brain fog, skin looks so much better, so many benefits in addition to the weight loss! I can’t thank Dr Mindy enough! Can’t wait for “Eat like a Girl”! 🧡

I’ve lost almost 40 lbs in 2 months on a vegan keto mixed Wh intermittent fasting/ OMAD. I have completely cut out processed white foods and am eating from nature 100%. My food cravings are manageablez I am in the morbidly obese category so this may not be the same for everyone but, my belly isn’t bloated anymore and I think my insulin resistance is working itself out. Mindy’s vids and books have helped me immensely. I’ve tried everything and she has a goldmine of useful info

It certainly does work. It's been almost a year that I have applied a fasting lifestyle together with a keto diet and I've lost 5 cm from my waist and centimetres on thighs and upper arms. I bought fast like a girl and have learnt so much. This is not a diet for me but a lifestyle that I will never leave. Not only do I feel healthier but I feel ALIVE!! Thank you Dr. Mindy. Ever so grateful that I came across one of your videos a year ago. ❤❤😍😍

Before finding you I went low carb, in my mid 40s, this was the best I’ve felt in many years! Lost belly fat, cleared brain fog, reduced joint pain and improved digestion among many other benefits! Everyone should try it!

Yes -- I am doing everything, and yet my belly is exactly the same as it was years ago, while I've been doing the right things. I have determined that this is just how it's going to be, as I enter MP and stuff. I would love to make that not be true. Any advice for people who are already doing IF, keto, and read and practice Fast Like A Girl?

😊 ok I am on this today is Tuesday 6 th August 2024.
I fast from 5.00pm until 1.00.pm the next day I have been doing this because I had a fatty liver.
No my blood test are back to normal. I am a happy camper. So now I am still fasting in the sam window. I was 83 kilo's and i am 163 cm high I am now 70kgs over 3 months.
But still have belly fat not a lot but i can notice it.
I will keep the fasting windows and switch to fruit and vegetables.
I have dropped sugar and no fat over < 1g.
I will take your challenge.
And get back to you.
Thank you for your suggestion.

Thanks to seeing one of your videos, 5 weeks ago, I've been doing various length IF for the past month. Since then I have watched MANY of your videos, as well as purchased your book, Fast Like A Girl. I've been eating a Ketobiotic diet, as well. I honestly can't believe the mental clarity, the energy and the weight loss I have experienced since starting IF. After my first week, I committed myself to living this lifestyle because of all the benefit I'm realizing. So far, I am down 15 pounds and feel the best I've felt in years! Thank you, Dr. M, for putting this all out there for everyone for free! I've been telling my friends to watch your videos, too!
