Hearing this music takes me back to my childhood. I would pop in the version I had taped from tv into the vcr player and mum would eventually appear from the kitchen, unable to resist watching it with me.

This will always be my connection to my grandmother who passed 3 weeks ago, sheintroduced me to anne of green grables and instilled a love of learning and reading in me. She reminds me of Miss Stacy, and she was a teacher as well....so thank you Lucy M. Montgomery ❤💙💛💚💜🖤 R.I.P grandma

Sullivan Entertainment did a great job of remastering this film. I have it on blu-ray and it looks fantastic. They obviously put a lot of love into their restoration. Now, a whole new generation can experience the magic of Kevin Sullivan's Anne. This is the only Anne I will ever love. Megan Follows is and always will be my Anne Of Green Gables. This is the Anne of my childhood. I first saw this on PBS in the 80s and fell in love with the film and have loved it ever since! Thank you, Kevin Sullivan, for giving us a wonderful treasure in your Anne Of Green Gables! This film should be on the list of the 100 most important Canadian films of all time!

It has taken YEARS to get this classic with subtitles so my wife can enjoy it - she's deaf. Finally this travesty has been rectified.

(4/24/24) I'm a film buff, but I only watched this for the first time on Feb. 13th.

I knew of it, my Uncle had it on VHS, and my Mom told me that she watched the movies when she was pregnant with me. But I never got around to seeing it.

I have a church friend who often cares for her granddaughter who's 8, and she told me that this is one of her favorite movies, so I bought this on Amazon with Christmas money, and then watched it on 2/13 and LOVED it. It's very high on my favorites list.

I was sheltered as a kid- mostly just watching VeggieTales, Disney, and other kid stuff. I did see some old movies like My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, It's A Wonderful Life, other musicals, Gone With The Wind, etc. I wish I could have seen these as a kid as well. :)
