The scene with Elio's father is the most heartfelt scene I had ever seen in film, between a father and his son. And has stayed with me ever since. I could watch that scene over and over and not get tired of it. Cinematic MAGIC !!!

I can hardly imagine a movie I would like better than this one. Virtually everything about it is perfect. The acting, the direction, the scenery -- everything.

That movie stayed with me long after I watched it. Very moving.

When the mother was driving him home from the train station, she could see her son was hurting and placed her hand on his head, with Elio breaking down. This resonated with me because it happened once between my mother and me; it was over failed love, and i broke down when I felt her hand on my arm. It was about feeling safe in the moment to experience raw emotions, and I saw that in the scene. Brilliant acting.

This is still THE most beautiful movie I've ever seen. Every shot, every scene, every location, every musical choice was PERFECT. I've lost track of how many times I've seen and enjoyed it -- and these glimpses make me feel like I really must dig out my DVD and watch it again!

Timothée has had a remarkable career since this film, especially evidenced by his star turn as Bob Dylan, but I still think the role of Elio has best showcased his remarkable range as an actor. Guadagnino's approach helped the actors enormously to fully realize their characters. I truly Hope Armie is now in a better place (Robert Downey did it) and can come back with important roles.

I originally wanted to see this movie for no other reason than to see Timothée Chalamet and appreciate his physical being and acting. I was unprepared for the sublime beauty of it all, the delicate longings and heartbreaking loss. All the actors are brilliant! I especially FELT the scene with Elio's father about loss, desire, love and opportunity. Even the moments of silence in the scene had Immense weight delivered masterfully by father to son. I'm still reeling after watching the movie. Truly a memorable experience... like a summer back in the 80's

Many movies are entertaining, but very VERY few has left an imprint on my heart and soul like "Call Me by Your Name". Such an extraordinary piece of cinema!

The final shot was so beautiful, I still weep when I think of it.

The loving words of Elio's father broke me when I watched. One of my favorite scenes of all time. He said so much yet another volume was woven between words ~unspoken, his story in detail.❤‍🔥

Michael Stuhlbarg deserved an Oscar too!!! That big speech near the end of the film is a knockout, the most memorable part of the entire production.

Best scene is towards the end when he leaves and Timothy calls his mother and says I can't do this...just broke my heart..
I have always remember this... don't you wish you would of had parents like he had

When a film fits one's soul like a glove there is no removing the impact. Only Brokeback Mountain ever came close.

Chalamet had learned piano for 5 years earlier in his life. It is perfectly clear from the movie that he could not have developed such a good technique in just a few months!

Many times when a movie is set in an earlier time, there are anachronisms that break the immersion. So the attention to detail - magazines in the bookstore, posters, TV shows from the time, clothes - all helped transport the viewer to 1983 small town Italy. Plus the house was a place in which I would have loved to live.

I never dreamed I would get to see such romantic LGBTQ films. Brokeback Mountain, Call Me by Your Name and Moonlight...just incredibly tender films❤

I’d love to see this film, but I don’t know that I can. I came out in the early 80’s and was dating an older man. My parents discovered what was going on and threw me out. My b.f. and I had to live together for a while. He didn’t want a live in b.f. We had a very tormented relationship, then he passed away unexpectedly. I’m not sure if I should see this or not.

Sometimes I wonder what would have happened. A few years after his death, I met a handsome young man a bit older than me. After dating for 3 years, we moved into a little house together. Time slipped away. I love him more than I can say here. We got married. We finally bought a house. This year will be 35 years for us. I know I’m very lucky. I thank god every day for bringing this man into my life. I’m still unsure if I can watch this, maybe someday.

I was surprised that the ending scene was improvised. It was really emotionally affecting.
