So, just to get this straight, if 15 or more players on a single NFL team die, the league would let the affected team pick replacements from all the other 31 teams, and if enough die, the season is canceled for that team, and they get the first pick in the next draft. There are certain facts that don't seem to get covered. At the time of his death Thomas family said that he had seizures and he died from a seizure. Whether or not that had anything to do with CTE is speculative. Aaron Hernandez didn't start acting erratic because of CTE. He was doing that in high school. In college he wanted to act like a gangster. He did that until he murdered people and got caught.

Realistically, the "Madden Curse" sounds less like an actual curse and more like indicator of the increasing dangers, that are attributed to a career in the NFL. This is especially evident in the last few minutes of the video, regarding injuries and early retirements, etc.

Most of those concussions come from the head hitting the ground and springing back up. In this day and age, sports science needs to come up with a workable solution soon to stop the head from hitting hard when they are knocked flat on their backs.

CTE is from hits as young as youth. That’s the problem, those NFL players have a ridiculous amount of head trauma
