Listened to this 4 times and still getting value out of it. More each time.

This segment of his lecture is SO much deeper than the title would seem to indicate. Thank you Dr. Peterson

Well said!

One thing though.
I just think there is an order set by logic tree on situation state that advance emotion from one type to the next, like pain into anger into resolve into complacence (just a guess, to pass the idea).

So, it's not about sorting out the right emotion to follow, but identify a deep request from the felt emotion, like I feel anger = I feel I must resolve a potential cause of pain, resolve questions about a possible repeat of a bad event.
after you have some resolution to that, you open yourself to deal with more consequences from the event.

Per "emotional request" you build and adjust habits, and respond with a spectrum between "a quick answer" and "a full blown up reaction". since it's a habit, you can't by one decision alone change how you react to "emotional requests". only by attaching a "commitment plan" that slows down situation satisfaction to investigate affirmations on correctness of your response.

"The only answer to that is to hit someone."

Hahaha! We've all been there!

This made me cry so hard, I have always been told I'm just manipulative and dramatic. Maybe I still am but this makes so much more sense.
