My Triglycerides were 514. Two doctors gave me Fibrates right away. They said I had a genetic disorder. Tri and cholesterol had been rising for 3/4yrs.

I decided to wait and; not take the drugs prescribed and drastically change my diet; although i’m slim and have a balanced diet already, I chose to make simple food habits.

For one month I removed:
All alcohol
All red meat
All bread
All pasta
All rice
No cakes, sweets or sugary drinks

I ate only:
Grilled chicken
Grilled fish
Vegetables
Fruits
Drank loads of water
2 coffees per day
Almonds and nuts
Coconut because I love it

After one month my triglycerides fell from 514 to 120.
Total cholesterol fell from 235 to 157.

I also took 4/5 grams of Omega 3 fish oil per day.

Maybe this can help someone out there struggling to improve their blood lipids.

Cereals are usually higher in carbs and often high in additional suger.

This was surely raise your blood sugars and triglycerides.

How about avocado & pr protein for breakfast.

Fibre from vegetables 🌿

My tri was 259 which is high and I switched my diet and lost 20 lbs. hot how do you get more tests my doctor is telling me I can’t get another test for six months I feel like he don’t care about me trying to see how my tri.s are responding to my diet changes it’s like pulling teeth to try and get another test done.
