Basically, lift like a champ 5-6 days a week, stay in a slight caloric deficit, make sure you're getting more than enough protein, keep an eye on micronutrients, and don't be afraid of carbs. Got it! 🐐👍

guys, im 54. its true, it gets harder and harder. at 35 yo i noticed ten percent fat gain. last ten years from age 44 to 54 ive struggled massively to get from 34 percent body fat to under 25 percent. right now, ive busted my ass all year, walking every day, and i was stuck at 34 percent w only cardio and diet. i was not losing a damn pound! i found out my testosterone was under 190 and started TRT - and now i am losing weight finally, with weight training, cardio and good diet. im losing about 1.2 pounds of fat per week in the last 12 weeks and gaining .9 lbs muscle per week. testosterone is up over 600 now. this is the testosterone effect. i recommend not waiting until your are clinically obese before checking your testosterone levels, you need it if you want to stay healthy! i should have started ten years ago!!

The information contained in this video is invaluable! I'm 37 now, and just switched from a high protein, low carb deficit to a higher carb, high protein diet. This is what my dietician recommended as well since I was starting to regress in progress. 10k steps, down from 15k per day. Less cardio, more carbs. Works a treat. I'm tighter, stronger in the gym and overall just feel better. Sound advice!

Thank you for the video! I really appreciate the info. But, I can't do carbs! I'm 56 and I've lost 65 lbs. In one year. My diet is mainly seafood, fruits and veggies and rice is the only carb. No bread, no pasta, no dairy, No cake or candies. I try to do dips, planks, and stretching almost every day.

At 45 I'm in my second week of prep for for an August 19th regional Masters competition. Coach has me training 5 days a week, 45 fasted ss am cardio, and 12 minutes HIIT post workout. Diet is high protein and carbs, low fat, with a focus on cellular hydration and recovery. I feel good. Should be a great prep.

Thank you for putting out good information. I will be 50 in a couple weeks and starting to notice a little more around the middle. But that’s going away.

Eat more protein and eat more carbs. How am I going to get into that caloric deficit then?

The study says we need to take in carbs, but what about those of us that are diabetic? Adding carbs back in can be very bad for my health.

Didn't touch on Fat intake... You said...Get your 1.0+ grams of Protein and your fat and whats left is carbs... But what is a good fat intake % for fat loss..I'm 66 years old 207lbs 5'8 mainly lifting 3 days a week since 1/1/2024 (lol.no I'm serious about losing) I've been bouncing between 207-209lbs daily, So I need at least 200g Protein and what Fat ??% plus Carb colories for whats left... I am building muscle, I can see and feel it but not losing weight.... it would be nice to get to my ideal weight 175lbs
One last thing...I float between 2-3 channels and I really prefer your for to the point with References and information that follows what I've learned and forgotten through the years..THANKS Love your video's lol

Here's a question hopefully someone answers. I'm 60. What if you have heart disease and need to do cardio. What's a good ratio of cardio to weight training? Right now I do weightlifting and about 20 minutes of cardio 4 times a week.

One problem, at least for me, after over 30 years of doing weights and cardio, I have acquired many injuries that won't go away so lifting or doing cardio like I used to is impossible.
