In a vast majority of cases if you're just having meat and water (no dairy) you're most likely losing fat, but also gaining muscle at the same time

No weight loss after first week. I just completed one week of carnivore diet and was in 100%. Absolutely no added carbs, ate a normal amount of food when hungry until satiated, no snacking, drank lots of water only. No weight loss, but I am committed to give it 90 days.

Focus should be on fat loss and not weight loss. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so chances are you are losing fat, but due to increased protein intake, muscles will be getting bigger, making it seem like weight isn't going down.

I guess what really pisses me off about these videos is that we wouldn’t be looking them up if we were still eating crap on the weekends. This is kind of like taking a phone that has a broken screen and asking do we just turn it on and off again. Like we know that we’re not eating over calories and we’re not eating sweets and we’re not eating or drinking things we’re not supposed to.

It's all too confusing - I have been doing this for 6 weeks and I haven't lost any weight at all.

Some people say eat less and others (S&B gal) says to eat more.
How the hell am I supposed to know what to do?

Doing TRE and IF.
Not eating any carbs at all.
Not eating any dairy either.
Not snacking at all.
Not doing any weight lifting, so not building muscle.
Not lost any inches either.

NOTHING! WHY?
Frustrated beyond words.

I've been carnivore since early 2017. I've also followed all of the high fat recommendations and over the last year, I've gained some weight/fat weight. I will lose 10 lbs of my regain and then that is all for months. Very frustrating. I recently decided to try low fat only (93-96% ground beef, lean steak, fish/seafood, and chicken - I just could not do egg whites). Since changing to these foods, the scale is FINALLY moving again! I LOVE high fat carnivore, but I hate being overweight/obese more! Great video! Glad I found you to follow!

I have to eat at least 1200 calories per day or I stall immediately. I tried OMAD but I get full after 6-700 calories..so I have to eat twice.

Iv been on the diet for over 20 days and I'm pure meat. Iv lost 20ish lb but over the bast 3 days iv gained 3 lb... why. I don't understand I'm not doing anything different.

I have double diabetes and I have lost 10 of the 17 pounds i needed to lose in four weeks. The scale has stopped moving, but I have gone from taking 160 units of insulin a day to 15 units. My smart scale says I'm at 20.4% body fat and 36.1% muscle. I'm 66 years old. I'll consider this success.

In my 3 rd month of carnivore. No inches lost but a few health issues healing so I’m going to keep going. Maybe I will become slimmer. Maybe patience and perseverance will work. Good luck. Hang in there

I did strict carnivore for 6 months and lost only a few pounds of the 100+ I need to lose. Then I added walking and the gym and lost a couple more pounds but not much. Became very discouraged and fell off track. My family is animal based so I wasn’t going crazy but not carnivore. Gained 20lbs fast 😭 now I’ve been doing mostly carnivore for over a week and I’m down 3 pounds but I’m sure that’s just water weight. I’m trying to tweak my diet to figure it out. I’ve struggled with my weight since I was SA’d at 7 years old and used food for comfort with an emotionally unavailable mom and absent father. I still struggle with carb binging and wanting to use food for comfort but I’ve gotten better and more self aware. It doesn’t help that I am home all day with my 5 kids having to be in the kitchen 80% of the day. I don’t feed them unhealthy but I make homemade sourdough and other things for them (no way we could afford to only eat meat as a family of 7 and I have toddlers, my kids won’t eat just meat). And I struggle to not eat bread when I make it so I’ve had to reduce that. Carbs are just hard to resist when they are in my face. The only things I have left to get rid of is dairy and coffee (I don’t use any sweeteners and I measure my half n half or cream). I normally eat 2 burger patties with cheese each day. So I guess the cheese is next to go. I just feel so bored with it and I get sick of just eating plain meat while everyone around me eats variety 😭 it’s hard not to feel bitter about it. Even when im not strict carnivore we still eat healthier than all our peers, animal based no seed oils no sugar etc. it’s just so frustrating to feel like I’m doing it all and it never seems to “work”. I’ve literally been having 2 cups of coffee, 2 burgers with cheese, and fasting till the next day and the scale still barely moves. Then I watch someone like Amanda on carnivorousMe and she has lost over 100lbs on just carnivore. Makes me feel like why can she but my body refuses to let go of the weight?

So very discouraged.

I am one of those weirdos that has only ever liked ketchup with my steaks. I am talking about maybe a spoonful on the plate. Just enough to dab my bites in for taste. I know this is something I need to stop doing but I struggle with this. I also hate A1 sauce. Any advice? Do you eat your steaks with no sauce?

45ish days in. I didnt lose any weight until i cut out the dairy and cut the stevia out of my coffee. Then lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks. Kinda been plateaud now. But im working out. Putting on a ton of muscle, still losing inches on my waist. But the scale isnt really moving much. Im noticing that if i dont do a 2.5 mile fast walk, the scale doesnt move.
