I've only ever used the AMS, but wanted to load filament with a Y splitter to use sample coils of brittle filament that won't spool, so I never even knew the process nor that you could/had to type in the temp like other 3D printers, and then extrude it yourself. it's like a time machine to the past with this lol. I love the AMS so hard! I finally tried using the bambu filament that came with my X1C combo and fell in love with the RFID capability, so i just went and bout every color filament i could find on bambu store. can't wait for it to arrive!!!

Please add a Preheat PLA/ABS/PETG option, and a Load filament sequence when filament is detected at temp. It’s really necessary.

If you were selling a robust Y filament splitter to use between the AMS and printer to load an external spool without needing to disconnect the AMS, I would certainly buy it.
The ones I made or printed from Thingiverse either keep breaking or the force of the AMS causes it to disconnect from the PTFE tubes when filament is being loaded.

please add a Load feature ! to P1P as well. Something that includes preheat followed by extrusion and confirmation. Just like prusa

Thank you, I've been using ams but needed to print tpu and had no idea how it loads until now.

That's fine if you are using the LCD display on the Carbon. How do you do this on the smaller screen?

You should do a video on replacing the control board fan. Your written instructions are great but an additional video would be helpful too.

I'm nervous to do this! Last time i hit the unload and waited then went to pull out the tpu and it broke inside the extruder and i had to take the whole extruder apart! Was not happy! Wish me luck this time OMG!

Why is there no load routine? There is a filament sensor right in the hot end, why isn't it used to load filament? And no preheat options on the P1P?

This would’ve been nice to know like a month ago. Felt real stupid going to tech support for this 🤣

It would be nice if there is load button
Makes the toolhead poop to chute and clean the nozzle with nozzle wipe

I have had the P1S with AMS for 3 weeks. I find it sad that Bambulab does not manage to produce proper documentation in different languages. By this I mean that EVERYTHING is explained in chronological order, from commissioning, changing the filament (with/without AMS), changing nozzles, which temperatures, which heating plate etc.. This also means that every single item is explained in Bambustudio.
But you have to spend hours researching everything in BambuWiki or YT, then translate it if you don't speak English in a technical sense.
If there was a printed book and/or video instructions, I would even pay for them.

This printer is good until you have to talk to the technicians…. I’m having trouble with a defective part and I’m 3 weeks writing with them because the printer has a defective part that they don’t want to change it . Since day one this part was defective but the post service of bambú labs is a piece of ……..

why don't do like prusa and detect insert.

I would have bought a prusa if I knew that manual fillament change without AMS doesn't work . Doesn't matter if you click fillament change at the right layer . The printer ignores it

Weird that this vid shows as uploaded 15 minutes ago, but there are comments 4 months old.

Bought a ps1 and it wont load filament, nothing about this in any video so im ready to just selling it on ebay and going back to qidi tech. totally frustrated for hours and im not new at 3d printing, im actually an engineer. I was afraid of something like this with bambu being new. im not bothering with tech supporty as i simply dont have time to mess around with something that claims to be up and go in 15min, well 6 hrs later and nothing. Besides it not working its a nice looking printer, well made but im assuming mines got a issue with the extruder gears. I tried everything and just kept getting error messages saying to be sure there is filament. Not helpful.
UPDATE> I figured id give it one last shot, well several more and it finally decided to grab the filament but i had to try the loading process countless times, printing a test print and im gonna pull the filament and see if it loads or if im stuck with the same issue. If so Its gotta go, time is money in business and spending an entire day for a (15min unboxing and first print as they claim) is a sure way to kill a business. So at this point i guess we'll see but im still disapointed, yes qidi tech is slower, doesnt have all the bells and whistles but they work everytime even if the prints arent always 100% perfect they still get the job done in a timely fashion. I do think Bambu Labs has A LOT of potential if they start making these in the USA and have real Americans to speak to when theres an issue not just some email address. nothing like talking to a real person who you can actually understand!
