NOTE: They have now dropped the Membership Program; no, it is for Everyone with no limits. Enjoy. I just bought 6 more rolls today

I want to add that in my process of printing spools for these refills I came upon a neat process. I wanted to print spools of matching colors from each refill. Once you put a refill on a spool it's not easy to put it onto a different spool later, so I came up with an easy way. I put the refill of the color I want to print a spool for onto an empty spool. I open the plastic straps holding the refill, but I do not remove them, just leave them in place and fold them back to make sure they won't impede filament feeding. Then I print the spool using that color. When I'm ready to put the refill onto its new matching color spool, I use tape to re-close the plastic straps as tightly as I can, then carefully take the spool apart, removing one side (the side that has the tab on it that matches the notch in the refill). Then I take that same half from the new spool and put the refill onto it, lining up the notch. Then remove the other half and put the new half on and close it up. Then I remove the plastic straps. Now all my 4 new refills have matching spools printed from that spool.

The filament shortages in the Bambu shop for the UK are a total pain. Get the stock levels up Bambu.

Great video Jim. I have a X1C and for sure use the membership. Everything usually costs much more for those of us in Canada so this pricing really helps me. Polymaker and Bambu filaments are the 2 i use the most. Proto Pasta also now have a section of their carboard spools you can just cut out and it fits perfectly on the bambu spools

Thanks NerdyJ!!! My first BL printer (P1S) is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I will be going from 2 Ender 3's to a BL.

Thank you so much for this! I received my first 3D printer (Bambu Lab A1 Mini) last month for my birthday, and was looking to purchase some more colors of filament.

When I saw the refill option, I decided to Google it and see what it is. Your video came up and I’m glad it did! This was quick and to the point, while being thorough.

I had not known about the membership discounts, and would highly doubt I could go through 8 spools in a month, so I’m sure you just saved me a ton of money!!!

Thanks again for helping out those of us who are very new to this! :)

Sunlu is compatible with bambu profiles, cost $48 for a four pack of matte pla, shipping is super quick, and the reels are compatible with AMS. No brainer.

Thank you, so glad I looked up the video. There was a couple little things that I wouldn’t of known.

One thing I don't think you mentioned, there's a bump when you put the spool together, if you don't turn past the bump the spool might come apart during use, which is a bummer.

The membership program is only available to people who bought their Bambu Lab printer direct from Bambu Lab.
I wish I knew this before I bought mine!

I'm a total nube in 3d printing so for now I will be using Bambu filament for my a1. I did get an a1 with an AMS and a spool of PLA white. I will also be signing up to get a discount on the filament, this is a long way of saying thank you for telling me about this.

I have been dreading rewinding my spools so much I never looked at it. Going to to do the refills tonight when I get home now. And the membership info was clutch, too. Thanks!

The membership is only for the first 6 months when you buy a printer from them.

It saves money over BL's original prices, but I find that Amazon has more choices, better prices, and faster shipping. I've ordered filament from Amazon and received it same day, next day, and two days (with Prime membership). BL shipping times are much longer, they have higher prices, and they seem to have problems with stock availability when I've shopped there. I do like the RF tags that come on the BL branded filaments, but all things considered, I think I'll stick with other choices available on Amazon (at least until something happens to change my mind).

Thank you. I was wondering about this whole refillable thing. The instructions say you have to kneed it with your fingers after placing it on the spool. and I wasn't sure what they meant.🤔

Can the empty original spoll be re-use on the Bambu Lab A1? If so. How can you pull them apart?

I just saw this video and got happy about this membership. It doesn't exists anymore, but there's huge bulk discount for PLA Basic - about 2/3 of original price when you buy 4 or more spools, so still quite cheap and same prices as on this video (16.99 EUR instead of standard 23.76)
