Tom Platz has a very kind heart. Mike Mentzer was very sensitive vulnerable man. Very intelligent

He realised he had dedicated his life to a sport that wasn’t a sport but a show

He redeemed himself with Dorian, and his last days were spent creating instructional tapes for others. It's a bittersweet ending for him.

Mike realized people didn’t want truth or honesty, they wanted a spectacle

Mike was a smart dude. That’s why he fell into depression. When you see how the world actually works and understand it it’s very depressing

Crazy how Mike actually wanted to help people out and no one wanted to listen to him.

Mike changed my life because of his training videos on rest and recovery. I was destroying myself and didn't even know. Thank Mike, RIP. You didn't win it all but you affected more lives than youll ever know. That's a true champion.

The way Arnold stole the trophy from him, really did a number on Metzer

Mike Mentzer was highly intelligent. High intelligence can sometimes be a curse.

I really wish Mike could see the recognition he’s getting now and how many people see what he’s done and know that he is truly the uncrowned king

Mike Mentzer is the Van Gough of body-building, his advice was overall ignored aside from an exceptional few but he's now become larger than life after his death

the fact that they robbed him twice in a row and nobody could approach him and look him in the eye because they knew he deserved 1980 olympia and even arnold had to leave without making eye contacts because of the shame of it

Mike Mentzer’s principles are what made me the bodybuilder that I am today. I owe it all to that guy because for many years I was left confused and plateaued with my training. After reading his books and watching his seminars I progressed faster than ever. Thank you Mike and RIP.

After 20 years of training i'm finally able to make gains following mikes principles.

It’s really really heartbreaking, Mike was sensitive to outside forces and let it get to him. All he needed was someone by his side always.

I hung out with him for 4 days back in the 90s and told me so much that opened my eyes to a lot of things in BB.

The more the intellect and compassion the more the pain and demons come for you

Tom is one of my heroes. Heroes don't have to be perfect, they just have to motivate you to be your best, and that's Tom Platz for damn sure.
