Anyone else notice that Salazar's origin is literally the same as Beckett's? He vowed to wipe out all pirates, the last of them banded together to stop him and then he died because he got outsmarted by Jack Sparrow. I guess they really did run out of ideas

Tiny thing I’ve noticed: Salazar does absolutely nothing wrong throughout the entire movie! Destroying every pirate fleet is noble because, you know, they’re criminals! Murderous criminals! Shooting the guys in the water? They were gonna be hanged no matter what and shooting them honestly seems less painful. Destroying that British ship? The British during this time fought for the most militarily aggressive absolute monarchy in the world and several of their merchant vessels were full of actual slaves. No one’s gonna miss those guys.

I feel like this movie showed us the true origin of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Plus I love how playful he is while telling the part of jack being a boy and like a little bird, really shows how he respects jack (not exactly respecting but you know what I mean)

Salazar's story makes me want to replay Sid Meier's Pirates again as a Spanish pirate hunter.

Lol in Pirates 2 When they go Tia Dalma she asks him if the compass she gave him doesn’t help him, and that single line contradicts the whole point of Salazar
