I had an Akita, she was very unwell, wouldn't eat, slept in the garden, I couldn't get her into house, so my door was wide open for 4 days, in case she wanted to come in. I used to go out and feed her by hand, roast chicken etc, lie with her, but she never ate much. I was having another night of broken sleep, and I heard her claws tapping on the flooring. I raced downstairs, she cuddled into me, then staggered back out and passed away on the doorstep. She used her very last breath to come and say goodbye. I cried for days....

DOGS ARE LOYAL..AND WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL IS THAT THEY ASSUME WE ARE LOYAL. THEY ASSUME WE DESERVE THEIR LOVE AND LOYALTY. BLESSED ANIMALS

I had 2 dogs. Both German Shepherds. One of them died. The other dog wouldn't sleep in her own bed for months. She would stay awake almost all night staring at the front door. Loyalty.

Yet another piece of evidence to prove that dogs are way too good for us!

I saw the movie with Richard Gere... a very underrated movie...makes it even more of a hit to the heart for the fact that it was a true story.

The dog's name is actually Hachi. Hachiko is the place near Shibuya station where they have a statue of Hachi.
If you tell a date you will meet her at Hachiko, that is a subtle cue that you are saying you will be loyal (and that you'll be there).

The fact that Tim teared up about this makes me like him much more. Most humans don't deserve dogs. Dogs can be devine creatures

Reminds me of the dog who found his masters grave in the cemetery and every day the dog went and layed by the grave until the dog too died 7 years later. AND YOU HEAR ABOUT PEOPLE LEAVING THEIR DOGS WHEN THEY MOVE. My dad got cancer and we left the state and I heard a couple of times about him. I was 17 and now 75 and still wish I would have lived outside with him the rest of his life. My greatest failure as a human being.

Akita’s are the most beautiful, loyal dogs. We have ‘Max’ our 2nd American Akita who is 123-lbs of pure love♥️, I wish I could post his picture. ‘Hachi a Dogs Tale’ is a great movie that I think anyone would enjoy; thanks for telling the wonderful story of ‘Hachi’.

Dogs are the embodiment of the loyalty and love we should have to the Father. If I remember they made a statue to that dog. A legacy of love that won't be forgotten.

This is why you should train your dog to bond with another family member in the house, not just you.
