Hachi: A Dog's Tale is a movie remake of Kaneto Shindo's Japanese film Hachikō Monogatari from the real-life story of Hachiko that originally take place in Shibuya Japan. This scene that shows Hachiko finally meeting his owner it was a representation that Hachiko finally met him as Hachiko in real history died in the streets of Shibuya caused of cancer. They finally met each other as they're both dead. In real life, Hachiko Finally physically beside his owner Professor Ueno only after he died and was taxidermied. He was buried beside his owner in Aoyama Cemetery which was open for public visitation.
